Google Penalizes Duplicate Content

It took hours to clean up the mess after being flagged by the Google duplicate page filter. Therefore, I needed to change titles, text, and images so that the flag could be removed. I eventually followed the tack of using the Squidoo lenses for long polls where people could vent their frustration at my choices on the hubs.

A blog post on Blue Magnet explains duplicate content, the Google penalty for duplicate content, and how to remedy duplicate content. It had taken Google two to three days to index the pages and flag them as duplicate content. We’ll see how long it takes for them to re-index the pages and remove the flag.
